Welcome and thank you for visiting our newly launched St. Francis of Assisi ~ English Speaking Youth Website. The SFA English Speaking Youth Committee was officially formed on October 13, 2003. It was revived by our Spiritual Assistant – Father Valentine who is also our Assistant Parish Priest. Our youth committee consists of 21 members headed by four core team members (Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary) and the rest of the members are channeled into eight ministries. The ministries are:
  1. South District Representative Team
  2. Publicity Team
  3. Event Organizing Team
  4. Music Coordinating Team
  5. Family Life Representative Team
  6. Liturgy Coordinating Team
  7. Sport Coordinating Team
  8. Web Development Team
The entire youth committee work together as one YOUTH under the supervision of three inspirational coordinating advisors. Our mission is to gather all Catholic youths of SFA to realize the importance of church and youths as being one united community.

At the early stage, we have recognized approximately 150 youths from SFA church. In addition to that, we have also implemented several major and minor events in the year of 2004 namely Mother’s Day Special, Bakat ASAYO Competition and Purpose Driven Youth Seminar. In the year 2005, we took a step further to get ourselves involved in the KL Archdiocese Golden Jubilee Celebration and the KL Archdiocese Choir of Bakat ASAYO 05’, which brought us together as one big family.

Vision plays a vital role in forming and bringing up the youth community. We as SFA youths always look forward to grow spiritually in the faith of God. With the formation of SFA-English Speaking Youth, SFA Parish Youth Council and South District Youth Council, we are able to map out more formation sessions to raise the consciousness of our faith in God. We, Catholic youths always strive to go every step higher to evangelize to other youths and bring all national Catholic Youths together as one united community. With all your support, prayers, and togetherness, we will become stronger in Catholic Faith and be as one united Catholic Family.

May God Bless Us All.
