2000 years ago, the Church was born in the power of the Holy Spirit. Gifts and charisms were manifested in the early Christian communities. They were dynamic and vibrant. But sadly, the charisms no longer seen to be operative among all the people after the 3rd century.
In the 1960s, the New Pentecost began with the experience known as the “Baptism in the Holy Spirit”, which marks the beginning of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church.
The Church needs a new Pentecost! Let us pray unceasingly to restore the Church to her original character of being charismatic, of being on FIRE! Come, Holy Spirit. Let Your fire fall!
