More than 100 leaders representing the different ministries and BECs attended a one-day formation on the Synod Saturday, November 4.
Msgr Jude Miranda, chairperson of the Peninsular Malaysia Pastoral Team gave a thorough understanding on Pope Francis’ call to synodality and its relevance to the parish and ministries.
During the Spiritual Conversation facilitated by Fr Simon Labrooy, the Rector of College General, the leaders agreed that humility, love and compassion are the core needs needed to deepen this sense of belonging to our parish. The pastoral image adopted is the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Parish priest, Fr Paul Cheong OFM Cap, hoped that all those present would be imbued by what they have gained at the formation and continue to be bring this fire to everyone they encounter.
The session ended with a commitment prayer by all present and a group photo.
This session was organised by the Formation Ministry. The next session would be the Advent Retreat presented in English, BM, Mandarin and Tamil on December 2.
