The Health and Wellness Ministry is excited to promote Habit 8: Healthy Lifestyle. As we journey together in our spiritual walk, it's vital to remember the significance of balancing our body, mind, and spirit. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honour God with your bodies."


This scripture calls us to treat our bodies with respect and care, understanding that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is both a physical and a spiritual pursuit. When we balance our body, mind, and spirit, we honour God and enhance our ability to serve Him and others.


At St. Francis of Assisi (SFA), we incorporate the 8 Habits to guide our spiritual journey. Habit 8 focuses on cultivating a healthy lifestyle through various practices that nourish our entire being. SFA offers different exercises, such as Tai Chi, CCYoga, Qigong, and Ping Pong, all designed to promote physical well-being and spiritual growth.


By participating in these activities, we improve our physical health and find opportunities for fellowship and spiritual reflection. These practices help us to become more mindful, reduce stress, and strengthen our community bonds.
